The 2008 MS Walk was a HUGE Success in the Frontenac Lennox and Addington Area. Walks were held in Kingston and Napanee. We thank ALL the Walkers and Volunteers for their contributions to this success! It is people like you that make these days and events the successes that they are. It is the knowledge that "Attitude is Everything", that contributes to the positive daily outlook of people with MS, their caregivers and society as a whole!

What: 4 th Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis (Kingston Chapter) was held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.

Thanks to the efforts b y staff and students from:
  • Limestone School of Community Education (LSCE)
  • LCVI
  • QECVI
  • La Salle

The "Homeroom Class" at the Limestone School of Community Education started the fashion show four years ago under the leadership of teacher Betty Jenkins. To date, the shows have raised over $10,000.00 for the local MS Society. This year, LCVI, QECVI and LaSalle are working with LSCE to achieve a goal of $10,000 in one night for the MS Society!!!

Local businesses are helping out with donations of finger food, door prizes and silent auction items. We also appreciate the support of our corporate sponsors, Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd and Hartington Equipment, who are generously donating funds to cover the cost of renting the Olympic Harbour. Local "celebrity" servers will be helping us out serving "mocktails" and food to our patrons.

Kevin Davison, a Harrowsmith resident who has lived with MS for over 20 years, was our MS spokesman for the show.
